The research was worth it. From my first consultation and in the various other pre-op appointments Mr Abela was professional and attentive. I was able to ask questions and raise any concerns and was provided with all the information that I felt I needed to proceed with surgery. On the day of surgery - I felt confident in the process and the results that would be achieved, whilst also feeling relaxed. The surgery took place on time with excellent care from the anaesthetist and her team - they even took the trouble to warm me up while I waiting for the anaesthetic. Mr Abela saw me twice before I left the hospital which was reassuring. I was additionally very impressed with the care that I received sometime after surgery when I had a few complications. I would highly recommend Mr Abela. I would also like to mention his PA, Natalie who was just fab!

I have had a very good experience with Mr Abela. He gave me realistic, sound advice about my diastasis recti, he is very experienced in this area. My surgery was performed to a very high standard and the overall result was aesthetically very pleasing and a significant improvement in my functionality. I am very pleased I had surgery.

Mr Abela is a fantastic surgeon. He did my floating abdominoplasty and hernia repair 10 weeks ago. Whilst incredibly professional and knowledgeable at all times, he was also very caring. Pre-procedure, Mr Abela took the time to respond to all my questions and post-operatively, he made sure to check the progress of my recovery. At all times, I felt that I could reach out to either him or Natalie (his secretary) without any issues or delays. The after care is simply excellent. It has only been 10 weeks and I can already see the results of the surgery. I never looked better! I would highly recommend Mr Abela, he is a true expert in this field.

I totally trust Dr Abela and find him very professional. He has performed two procedures for me removing lumps on my back. The lump he removed last year left no scar and is totally invisible now. I have every confidence the cyst / lump removed this year will also leave no scar. The procedure was 100% painless and I found it both a pleasure and a honour to be treated by Dr. Abela.
