A letter to all current and prospective patients
During the COVID-19 pandemic Chris Abela’s clinic brought in additional hygiene measures to enable patients access to the highest quality of care in the safest way possible, across the whole spectrum of clinical urgency.
Life has now gone back to normal but viruses are still circulating which is why he has chosen to retain some of these measures. Chris and his team are still offering more virtual consultations where appropriate and more detailed surgical consent for patients. The team is also continuing to regularly review and update policies and practices.
Whilst testing for COVID-19 is no longer required prior to surgery under local anaesthesia, hospitals still routinely require a negative result prior to general anaesthesia, so staying in good health ahead of a procedure remains a priority.
